Also, peep the new Wale “Mixtape About Nothing.” Its theme is based on Seinfeld and mixed by Nick Catchdubs. “100 Miles and Running” still gets play on my iPod so I can’t wait to bump this. I haven’t even finished downloading it yet (its a huge file since everything is in 320 kbps) but Wale kills it everytime and hes the future of real hip hop!
By the way, big thanks to everyone who came out to the premier night of Free Throw Thursday @ The Enormous Room on Mass Ave.(its every last Thursday of the month!) w/ me and Brek.One. The turnout wasn’t as big as we had expected, but it wasn’t bad for a post-memorial day Thursday. However, everyone that was there really got down to some good music. We hope that it picks up some momentum and hope to see you out there on Thursday June 26th.
In other gigging news, I’ll be down in Philly for the July 4th weekend spinning for a Kaba Modern party at Transit! Should be a dope party and its one of my first gigs back in Philly in a while!
Look out for more w/ me and Brek.One. I’ll be putting up some flyers and pictures from previous events including the flyer for Free Throw @ Enormous Room!
The Glow In The Dark show was dooope!! Amalgam hooked it up w/ a stretch F-650 and dead center seats about 25 rows back. All the artists killed it. I missed Lupe tho which is a damn shame. Kanye’s performance was sick.. it was basically a Daft Punk induced rap concert. I couldn’t get my camera into the show, but here are some pics and vids from the way there and back:

BTW look for big things w/ the kid and Brek. One! We’re throwing down at the New England Aquarium on Monday May 26th w/ 4 turntables, 2 mixers, and 2 of the sickest DJs in Boston!! Unfortunately thats a private event for the Wellesley girls, buuuut we’re also doing every Last Thursday at The Enormous Room in Cambridge which is open to the public!! Flyers will be up soon!
Tonight I’m at PEARL for the Graduation Bash. Should be a packed house. Free if you’re on the guestlist and you got college ID. Hit me up at 484-802-7276 or get@felixxxthedj.com for the guestlist!
More music and more pics as soon as I move to my summer apartment! I promise!
This guy is sick. I haven’t seen any beatboxer that not only beatboxes songs, but can mix them together also. Then again I’m not too up on beatboxing, so if you find something better, shoot it my way.
I personally think this freestyle is fire because of three things:
1.) he incorporates phrases that let you know its off the top of the dome
2.) he gets the crowd/audience into it
3.) he makes it look so easy
Last night (Friday 5/2/08) PBE held their annual Skyy High Party. It was supposed to be on their beautiful roof deck but the rain gods did not favor us.

Buuut we still had a bumpin party downstairs:
Check out the rest of the photos on the photobucket.
I also put up some vids of the actual party.. these people really know how to get down and have a good time.. you can’t see shit in the video but you can hear them! [hit up the video section]
Anyway, I came back and made myself a hot pocket and got too impatient so I took it out like 10 seconds early, and I guess thats enough to make a hot pocket taste like shit.. it was frozen in the center! I wish Boston would have some damn diners that open 24/7.. they don’t even need to hire any waiters they could just get one of these: Waiterless restaurant in Nuremberg
DJin @ Club Pearl tonight! and I desperately need to put up some new mixes.. I’ll definitely be getting some done after finals.. promise.
I haven’t posted in a while cuz of schoolwork and whatnot.. but lots of updates now.
Since the last post I opened up for one of the hottest DJ duos out there right now, Flosstradamus! The event was on Marathon Monday (4/21). They’re doing it big doing what I wanna do! They really know how to rock a crowd.. the girls were going crazy! Pictures will be up soon when I get a hold of them from my friend. On another note, the reason why I don’t have pictures up is because someone stole my camera at one of my gigs!! Grimey right?!
Then that Thursday (4/24) I opened up for Sean Kingston! His show was pretty fun and I got to stay backstage the entire time and almost got run over by Sean himself (I actually have a video of him charging towards me).
Then last night (Thursday 5/1) I DJed for AKPsi’s formal at the Lenox Hotel. It was a great time mostly because I was smashed haha.. I think I still got them to get down tho!
Creepy elevator
but it had a cool TV
after party room! (hi cassie!)
last but not least.. my bottle of redull x vodka x arizona.. its crack
I loved the soundtrack of Juno and this is the song they closed with which closed the movie on a happy and optimistic note:
They did a cover off The Moldy Peach’s “Anyone Else But You.” Here’s a b-more edit that I put together.. which will most likely make its way onto my CD (4th track done!):
Big ups to the homie Brek. One (www.myspace.com/brekonesupreme | www.respectthegld.com). Bumped into him at JK’s bday party. Dude is doing big things! He DJed at the in-store w/ Kid Sister at Concepts on Friday. Look out for his clothing label!
The sensation described as “having a religious experience” is merely a side effect of our bicameral brain’s feverish activities. Simplified considerably, the idea goes like so: When the right hemisphere of the brain, the seat of emotion, is stimulated in the cerebral region presumed to control notions of self, and then the left hemisphere, the seat of language, is called upon to make sense of this nonexistent entity, the mind generates a “sensed presence.”
And they created a device that is able to trigger these experiences. So “religious experiences” may just be “nothing more than static from our impressively large cerebrums.” I didn’t have a religious experience from seeing this picture, but its amazing, where can I find more art like this?
The Kells is the Thirsty Thursday spot now! We hit capacity again this week

They had to open up the downstairs bar/dancefloor too and feed the music down there. The crowd was a little better mixed this time so I threw together a whole 30-45 min set of house and dance and then even went into some Baltimore Club towards the end. Dropped the DJ B-Stee’s Lil’ Wayne Lollipop BMORE remix. FIYAH!
Yesterday, Friday my boy Mike Boyd organized the first MC Open Mic Night at BU Central. After a 45 min delay and horrible audio (i ended up lugging my entire 300 lb sound system because the house audio was so horrible).
On the bill:
1.) The Throwbacks (Aviator and Ryan Evans)
2.) Konsept
3.) Greg Dagget
4.) Paul Yi
5.) Myq Kaplan
6.) Andrew Jerell Jones
7.) Dorian
8.) Special performance from Chris Hahn and Paul Umbro
Konsept (killed it, flow was on point!)
Paul Yi (crowd favorite! what up Paul!)
Picked up some SWAG.. free promotional stickers that Mike Boyd (from Warner) was giving out
Now my laptop looks complete w/ that ‘Face sticker!
…and so does my wall (threw up those Lupe, Gnarls Barkley, and Rick Ross posters):
