I’m really diggin the instrumental I laid this over and I always liked the original track. My goal for the CD is to have 20 of my own blends and 20 songs that I haven’t messed with, giving 40 tracks which should land me between the 60-80 min range for the full CD.

Birthday weekend
Yessir this was my first weekend being 21!! So far I’ve ordered 2 legal drinks and a “Birthday Cake” shot (tasted nothing like a bday cake).
Thursday
Kicked off the celebration w/ the weekly @ The Kells on Thursday. The turnout this week was even better than the previous week. We’re shipping in people from Bentley so we packed the place with at least 100 people by 10:30 and the place stayed packed for the rest of the night.
Friday
On Friday I DJed for the School of Management (my school)’s formal. I normally don’t get down with these functions, but these are my people so I gave them a good show.

I went out of my element for this event. I’m normally a hip-hop and top 40 dance DJ, but at heart I’m a party rocker so whatever gets the crowd going the hardest is what I’m going to be playing! These people LOOOVED them some HOUSE (mmm-tse mmm-tse mmm-tse ahhaah) so I rocked an hour and a half set of bangers! Too bad I didn’t record that shit on the MicroTrack tho. Only cuz its been giving me ridiculous amounts of problems lately.
Saturday
Went out for a small bday dinner with the close friends at Unos. Had 2 delicious birthday desserts! Thanks for coming out friends! We had our new brothers inducted into the professional business fraternity I’m in (what up AKPsi?! congrats Alpha class!). And had a little night time “picnic” where I got absolutely mangled:

Overall great weekend, I was supposed to meet up with a few other people Saturday night and hit up a club, but I dunno what happened, just couldn’t make it out of that party hahah. Oh yeah, me and a couple of the boys ended up at IHOP at 3:30am and one of the boys was bugging out cuz he thought we were in Jersey because supposedly, IHOP looks like Jersey. I can kinda see that.
One last thing, I’m DJing at this MC battle on campus and I just threw together this flyer overnight!

P.S. all the pictures this weekend were taken by my homie Faba! Shes ridiculous with the photog game, no one can hide from her.. this just reminds me that I need to cop a camera of my own already!

This track continues to bang and girls continue to scream when I drop it. I laid it over Swizz Beatz’s remix of Mary’s Just Fine. That instrumental is FIRE! and gives a new upbeat vibe to the original!
